With the rapid developments of distance education and internet technology andwith the practical needs of national advanced education, network teaching platform,based on JSP development mode, has the disadvantages of complex programs, lowerefficiency of development, poor expansibility, and difficult maintenance, which has notbeen able to meet the demands of the present distance education. So it is urgentlyrequired to construct an online study platform which adopts components developmentand has the advantages of better expansibility, good resusage, and convenience and saftyof maintenance.According to the practical development needs of distance education in XidianUniversity, and referencing to home and abroad research results on network teachingplatform, this paper discusses the developments of J2EE framework technology andconstructs a Struts2、Spring、iBatis (SSI) framework based study platform including aStruts2based Web technology layer, a Spring based business logic layer, and apersistence layer adopting iBatis to realize ORM are designed respectively. This paperresolves the technical problem of integrating Struts2and Spring, Spring and iBatis,adopts RBAC to build authority management subsystem and authenticate usersidentities.The running results, in this paper, show that the online study platform that wedesign is stable, it lightens the complexity of data maintenences and has the advantagesof flexible operation and better expansibility, which favors the secondary developmentof the platform.
