Commercial Bank System Testing Management Platform

At present, with the rapid development of computer science and information technology and the wide popularization of internet, the consumer banking industry competes increasingly and sharply. Compared to the past, the consumer banking business is changed rapidly in not only the traditional counter service, but also the customized self-service development through the network. To grasp the initiative in the brutal competition, the quick response to market changing and the continuous updating with the banking system are required. To quickly update and launch new products, banks pay more and more attention to the quality and safety of the new system, as the result, continuously increase the testing of their own banking system. However, for the banking system of countries in one big project or multiple non-associated projects need to be implemented in the same duration, it is hard to monitor well on not only the progress and process of each projects, but also the system quality and implementation date. For this purpose, a complete set of testing project management platform system need to be established. It can manage multiple projects at the same time, and real-time evaluate the current testing progress and result. Besides this, it can also reduce the management time and effort, save the cost, improve the efficiency, and speed up the on-line time of the projects.This paper, firstly, reveals the existing issues of multi-projects in consumer banking system, and provides the solution of real-time monitor/management of testing processes and results. Secondly, it presents the requirement analysis of consumer banking system, which includes seven-layer development structure, the system functions of front/middle/back office, V-shape waterfall testing model. Using a testing management tools, the customized testing monitor/management system is designed as some specified modules, i. e., project progress information collection module, real-time data extraction module, visible report design module, and report generation module, and batch reports automatic sending module, etc. In this design, it mainly adopts HP Quality Center as testing management tool, and applies API and VSTO under MS. net platform to implement and test the system. It makes the consumer banking system testing management real-time, parallel and automated. In the end, the paper shows the powerful testing management platform can effectively solve those existing issues of banking on-line projects (e. g disordered testing processing, information out-of-date, weakness of monitor, inaccurate reports, highly costs, etc.), to improve the efficiency and quality of testing monitor/management reports.
