The paper proposes a kind of design and implementation method of small-scalenavigation baseband processing digital integrated circuit. Under the software’s control, theintegrated circuit will acquire and continually track the civil signal of GPS navigation system. After that, the circuit will do the later solution to the circuit output result through software, and get the required longitude, latitude, altitude and time.To simplify the hardware circuit and get the miniaturization scale, we make every effortto realize the work that has lower requirement to the realtime by software. And the hardwareonly retain the important functions, such as basic low-pass filter, match correlation and looptrack and some necessary peripheral circuit.Through modulate the GPS L1signal in time domain; and track the GPS L1signal infrequency domain. Meanwhile, it modulates the multiple satellites’ acquisition and trackfunctions by time-division multiplexing to narrow the circuit scale. Through simplify thehardware circuit, it can not only enhance the back-end manufactures’ processing yield and thesingle wafer’s utilization rate, but also reduce the producing cost. The FPGA and IC test shows that the circuit’s performance basically reaches the mediumlevel of word GPS system. But due to some inherent characteristics that result from theadopted structure and manner of realization, it cannot do well in acquisition and track of theweaker and worsen GPS signals. It can improve the effect of acquisition and track byincreasing the integral time and adding the precise loop tracker.
