Design And Implementation Of College Educational Management System With Academic Credit System

Educational administration is the key of a university administration as it involvesthe university, the colleges, the teachers and students as well. With the development ofUniversity Administration System, especially academic credit system and curriculumselection system involved, the routine administration became more and moreburdensome and complicated.College Educational Management System is a set of software for management ofteaching and educational administration, which covers the whole educationalprocedure of students from their entrance to graduation. Focused on the difficulty ofthe routine task and with the Internet, the system makes educational administrationcomputerized, which releases administration staff from arduous and complicated dailywork. The system also makes the educational administration more standardized,modernized and be able to go without paper.This thesis analyses the national college educational administrationinformationization development and the whole procedure of national academic creditsystem implementation in general and describes the design and implementation of thesystem with entire academic credit system in Yunnan University.The system can provide the following service:1. For the general population: all the information about educationaladministration can be inquired through this system.2. For the students: the system provides all the students with basic individualinformation review/revision, curriculum selection/cancel, and schedule inquiry,selected curricula review, individual score inquiry, and comments on teaching, etc.3. For the teachers: all the undergraduates’ course outlines, postgraduate andgraduate scores could be put online. The teachers can review the information ofstudents who has selected his or her curricula and review the ever-taught curricula.4. For the educational administration staff: this system covers the management ofstudents from entrance to graduation.Through this research, in this thesis, in the above areas to be innovative.
