Medical electronic endoscope, as a high-end soft endoscope, has the advantagethat can not be replaced. Miniaturization and high definition are the direction ofelectronic endoscope. High-resolution, high definition and no black spots visionimage acquisition, and the important characteristics of information which is obtainfrom Images processing. It can achieve the accurate diagnosis of the disease, and theacquired image can be recorded and permanent preservation, it is facilitate toestablishment patient information database.According to the developing direction of medical electronic endoscope, this papermakes a deep research on the development of endoscope. The design scheme ofHDTV medical electronic endoscope based on a embedded platform is proposed,including using the latest high resolution CMOS image sensor for acquiring image,adopting LVDS technology for image transmission and the back-end acquisition byembedded ARM. The technical difficulties of the paper have modification of driveraccording to peripheral device, the proper image display for endoscope, image datatransmission with high-speed and endoscopic image zoom function. The mainresearch work of the article is as follows:1. According to the size of the electronic endoscopic biopsy channel and structure,we design a miniature camera and image acquisition module with high resolutionCMOS image sensor. This module transfers the optical signal inputted from theobjective camera into eight parallel digital image signals.2. Image data transmission based on LVDS technology is designed in this paper.This module main work is LVDS decoding circuit design, it changes parallel digitalsignals outputted by CMOS image sensor into serial signals by encoding circuit.3. The paper designed the image acquiring and processing module based onARMSYS2440hardware platform and Windows CE5.0operating system.According to the characteristics of the peripheral device such as the miniaturecamera module and man-machine interactive platform and so on, we developed thebottom driver, at the same time, we wrote application program to realize the image zoom function for electronic endoscope and image processing algorithm proceduresof the image smooth and image enhancement.4. System platform building and system commissioning.The paper realized miniaturization, the image more than1million pixels, widefield image, small distortion and the transmission distance up to2meter for medicalelectronic endoscope.
