Due to meeting customer’s requirements successfully has become the modern marketcompetition law, a manufacturing company should pursue the way how to turn thecustomers’ voice collected by sales to the design requirement of product, part features,technological and production requirements etc all the time.According to KANO theory, customer’s requirement could be composed of fiveforms, they can give totally different satisfactory to customers. In order to strategicallyfinalize the target market, the enterprise can choose the proper customer’s requirements todevelop the product.QFD (quality function deployment) is a method of quality control which can turncustomer’s voice to design considerations.Card connector development based on QFD and KANO model give a newperspective to the product quantify development.The article has mainly completed three aspects research work as following:Firstly, a new theoretical framework of connector design is concluded in the paper. Itenriched the connector design theory in a new perspective, provided the process andprocedure of product design, for which a theoretical foundation was laid.Secondly, give a specific design methodology base on QFD and KANO theory. Themethodology classify the customer’s requirements and build a model which can maximisethe customer satisfaction through KANO theory. Then confirm the design considerationsthrough QFD.Finally, use the methodology to indicated card connector development. Thefeasibility of new methodology is proved through card connector development in certaincompany. By the end of the paper, the main research results, conclusions on both theory andpractise, as well as requiring work for further research are summarize.
