In many fields,the performance requirements of electrical and electronic equipment become higher and higher with the rapid improvement of technology.Connector is an essential component of electrical and electronic equipment,which plays an important role in the transmission and control of electronic system energy and signal.Therefore,electrical connectors put forward higher EMC performance requirements.The research object of this subject is a millimeter wave RF coaxial connector.According to the generation,transmission and reception of electromagnetic energy involved in the connector,the EMC performance of the coaxial connector is analyzed,including the following three parts.The first part,according to the theory of coaxial transmission line and signal integrity,calculates the characteristic impedance,transmission cut-off frequency,loss and other electrical parameters of the RF coaxial connector.Based on the HFSS simulation platform,analyzes the S parameter,rising edge attenuation,TDR,loss and other electrical properties of the coaxial connector.In the second part,according to the electromagnetic interference(EMI)theory,the electromagnetic radiation(RE)of the RF coaxial connector is analyzed,and the electromagnetic radiation simulation analysis of the RF coaxial connector is carried out.Obtain the radiation effect DB value of coaxial connector at working frequency.In the third part,according to the electromagnetic anti-interference(EMS)theory,the electromagnetic anti-interference simulation analysis of RF coaxial connector is carried out.Under the influence of electrostatic discharge(ESD)and electric fast transient(EFT/B)signals,the dielectric withstand voltage of the coaxial connector is obtained,so as to evaluate the electromagnetic anti-interference ability of the RF coaxial connector.This paper studies the EMC performance of the connector based on the theoretical analysis and the finite element simulation method.The research results show that the RF coaxial connector has good signal transmission capability at 40GHz,little influence on electromagnetic interference,excellent anti-interference capability for electrostatic discharge(ESD)and electric fast transient pulse group(EFT/B),and meets the requirements of relevant product indexes and national standards.This research provides a new research idea and method for EMC design and performance analysis of connector.
