Among all these researches, the research of streaming media transmission is ofthe most importance in case that the quality and replaying of transmission media willinfinitely affect people’s experience perceptually and acoustically.The thesis makes deep research on the streaming media transmission process in videosurveillance system and realizes the streaming media transmission control system whichhas outstanding performance on the platform with high performance ability of mediaencodeing and decoding chip. Comparing with the streaming media transmission on PCsystem, it performaces more stable and portable. The system has the function whichvideo surveillance system should have, such as previewing, remotely downloading,remotely configuration, remotely PTZ controlling and local status announcement and soon.The system researched and realized by this thesis ensures the integrity, reliability andinstantaneity of the media data in the field of video surveillance. The system designstransimission protocol which is based on TCP. The protocol is the slimmed-down versionof RTP protocol which uses the media sampling frequency as the time base to calculatethe timestamp. Contrapsing to the time delay problem, the system design the adaptivebitrate adjustment method which is based on the ring buffer. Moreover, the system alsodesigns complete signaling processing and remotely control framework which can makegood management for the surveillance system. According to the detailed testing result, allof the performance index can achieve the requirement of normal video surveillancesystem.
