Nuclear power digital control system is an important part of the nuclear power station,plays an significant role in ensuring its long time, safe and steady operation. But its test isvery difficult on account of the lack of mature testing tool. Therefore, for reliability testingproblems of the digital control system of nuclear power, this paper puts forward asoftware-based fault injection testing method, that is to set the fault of each processingunit boards of field control station of the digital control system of nuclear power in orderto test and verify the reliability of the system.Firstly, the exited researches about fault injection techniques and corresponding testtools in china were analyzed in this paper, elaborate the principle of fault injection andcompare the advantages and disadvantages of the various types of fault injectiontechnology based on classification of fault injection technology. Based on the developmentstatus of the technology, it analyzed application fields of fault injection technology indetail.Secondly, put forward the injection method and trigger mode when testing faultinjection of the system, completed the test platform design. To digital control system innuclear power field control station of the CU processing unit board as an example, indetail analysis the processing unit fault injection test scene.Then, in the cross development environment, based on the development platform ofWorkbench, and to embedded C language for development tools,it completed the faultinjection test tool software. Using a custom protocol improves the testing tool flexibilityof data transmission, and function library package to avoid unnecessary redundant code inthe development processAt last, there is an experimental analysis of the CU slot number fault, which wastested based on the software fault injection. The functional completeness of the detectorsand the feasibility of the fault injection method were validated.
