The food is very important in our daily life, and its safety is related to the health ofconsumers. Especially in recent years, food safety incident happened one after another,which caused a great threat to the safety of people’s lives. In this case, consumers haveurgent needs to ensure the safety of food. So it is important to safeguard the legitimaterights and protect the safety of people’s lives from the source.Based on specific analyzes the situation of traceability system at home and abroad,the demands of consumers and the specific process of the food production areelaborated, it is possible to build a food traceability as a carrier of mobile phones,wireless communications and database information. Real-time traceability informationis provided to consumers by constructing the image process platform. The design offood traceability information system takes the characteristics of lamb traceability in thisregion as an example, information of enterprise is provided, such as food manufacturers,suppliers, warehousing and vendor companies. This platform will give a datainformation support for consumers to know the produce and sale process, they willknow the degree of safety of this production through this information and decidewhether to buy it or not.The article is mainly discussed the barcode image processing algorithm and datamaintance section which related to food traceability information inquiry system.Theexistence of one-dimensional barcode and2D barcode can effectively compensate forthe shortage of low unit value of RFID tags, it gives a relative space for the systemdevelopment and application in this article. This article focuses on the algorithm ofpreprocess and decode in one-dimensional barcode and2D barcode, as the requirementof mobile query real-time, this article optimized suitable algorithm for the mobileinquiry under the premise of ensuring the decoding efficiency, and a algorithm systemfor mobile inquiry is formed.Food traceability information system makes effective use of the image processtechnology and database management technology, which gives a useful guidance forconsumers to know product information and to judge whether to buy it or not, at thesame time, the design of system will give a useful reference for the use of mobileinquiry in the Internet of Things era.
