Although the secondary vocational education develops rapidly with thenational and social attentions, the problems about the low quality and poor subsequentdevelopment of the vocational students is increasingly prominent. Meeting thechallenge, we must change the status of mechanical memorizing and training incomputer teaching; train up the students with the abilities of collecting and processinginformation, acquiring new knowledge, analyzing and solving problems, and finally,explore the potentials of the students which improving the possibility and longevity ofthe students development with focus on the abilities of learning, creativeness anddeveloping. Therefore it is required that change the traditional teaching methods andmodes.The concept map is an effective teaching tool that clearly provides the nature of thesense-making. Using the concept map in course analysis and teaching design, theteaching skills of teacher can be improved efficiently; using the concept map as a studytool for student, their thinking will be developed, their operating skills and the abilitysolving problems will be improved, and their team spirit will be trained. The secondaryvocation informatization based on the concept is very important for deepening thecourse teaching structure reform, improving teaching efficiency, enhancing the teachers’quality and training the spirit of innovation and ability of practice of students.Under the direction of the relative education and teaching achievements at homeand abroad, and take the computer course that almost all the secondary vocationalschool has for example, the application of concept map in the computer teaching ofsecondary vocational education are studied by analyzing the teaching functions ofconcept map and the teaching experiments statistical results. Using experimentalmethods in teaching for almost one year, such as documentation, experimentation,questionnaire and interviewing, a basic process of concept map based task driventeaching mode is proposed. According to the analysis of experimental data, it provedthat this teaching mode is feasible and effective, and the application of concept map teaching strategy in secondary vocational computer course can improve the knowledge&skill and comprehensive vocation ability of vocational students.In the end, the main achievement of study is analyzed and the future researchdirection is discussed.
