Navigation mark provides a variety of security information services for the ships inrivers, lakes, and seas. It is also an important part of the navigation security system and animportant facility to maintain the water transportain unblocked, to ensure the safety of theship and to make sailing economic. The traditional beacons management uses artificialregular inspection way, and has many disadvantages, such as poor real-time and poorreliability, low efficiency and high cost of maintenance, security hidden danger and soon. Therefore, the study of developing high performance digital beacons remote terminaland telemetry system is very necessary. In the reading of many references, the thorough understanding of the beacons remotecontrol telemetry system development situation at home and abroad, and a comprehensiveconsideration and comparing the different localization ways and methods ofcommunication foundation, this paper analyses and gives the functional requirement of theterminal, determines the structure of the teleconctrol and telemetering terminal, completedthe selectionof th key components, designed and implemented the hardware and software ofthe remote. The terminal logs on a remote server by the way of GPRS and SMS, receivesand parses the NMEA-0813GPS data.Through the real-time monitoring of the state of the navigation mark by the moitoringcenter sever, managers can master all status informations in time. The terminal can alsocommunicate with the intelligent lamp via the RS-485interface, detect and control the lightquality. The RTU has been successfully running in a waterway of the Yangtze River. It willgreatly improve the efficency of the beacons management and the real-time of thenavigation information peocessing, reduce maintence costs of the navigation mark.
