Because of the particularity of the university industry, the construction ofcampus network requires to be safe, advanced, and efficient, which results in thehuge difference of construction concept and operation mode between campusnetwork and social network of individuals and groups. Relevant surveys have beentaken during the Ningxia University campus network design, and showing that theparticularity of university network applications and management results in thedifferent requirement from a social network built by telecom operator. Technicaldifficulties include QOS, P2P, security, etc.Ningxia University campus network is equipped with high-performancemultilayer switching network equipment, which enables large-load operation of thenetwork, and supports for multimedia applications, including multi-mediaclassrooms, electronic reading room, multimedia teaching and office automation,easy virtual network (VLAN) management, improvement of network security andperformance, superior multimedia applications, meeting the needs of the user ondemand, broadcasting, multimedia teaching, management and other features. TheNingxia campus network using a dual-cored and dual-linked three-tier structure ofthe access stack, regional convergence and core, which makes it easily resolvenetwork distribution and security issues. After the system operation test for morethan a month, the host and the network system is stable and superiorly performed.The design and implementation of this project has a certain reference value andimportant meaning of future construction of campus network.
