According to the characteristics of strong coupling, large inertia, large delay and time variation for coal-pulverized storage system with ball mill, an overall optimizing control system using advanced control strategies was designed in this article, relying on the optimization control transformation project of number10and number11coal pulverizing system in Gaojing thermal power plant.First of all, structure, working principle, control demands, object properties and dynamic characteristic were introduced briefly. Secondly, general scheme of milling system was discussed and designed. Then, optimization control strategies of coal pulverizing system were researched and designed from homeostatic control and start-stop process control respectively.Finally, control system of number10and number11coal-pulverizing systems in Gaojing thermal power plant were designed in detail. Furthermore, implementation effect of optimized control system was evaluated through experimental data and practical operation. All of this showed that this transformation project embodied the significance in improving automation level and efficiency, ameliorating the influence of pulverizing system start-stop to furnace negative pressure, reducing unit consumption, optimizing system performance index and so on.
