The ball mill pulverizing system is a MIMO system with strong coupling, long time delay and time changing apparently .lf we use the traditional PID Control System, the controlling result is not so satisfying. Thus, the manual control system has been put into use for a long time. However, it is still an urgent problem to be solved that how to realize the automatic control of the steel ball mill pulverizing system, how to raise the level of automation and the efficiency of the system, and how to reduce the workers? labor intensity. This paper gives us a thorough research work on the control of the steel ball mill pulverizing system from the angle of the intellectual control. According to the characteristics of the system, the research is focused on the following aspects: The paper expounds a new hierarchical fuzzy controller algorithm in detail. This theory can remarkably reduce the rule number of the fuzzy control algorithm. It can not only simplify the design for multi-variable system fuzzy control, but also solve effectively the coupling problem between variables in the system. To raise this method? self-adaptability, this paper also put forward the expert fuzzy control algorithm. On the probing study of the fuzzy neutral network control algorithm, the paper also brings up the fuzzy neutral network with the boundary restraint conditions. The theory of hierarchical fuzzy control algorithm and the expert fuzzy control algorithm raised in the paper have been put into practice widely in many power plants. The examples of the engineering application have been attached with the paper.
