With the rapid development of social economic and increasing levels of urbanization,traffic safety, traffic congestion, air pollution, waste of resources and other issues resulted bywhich have become a common problem faced by all the countries.The healthy development ofurban economy are seriously hindered and people’s quality of life is affected by the trafficproblems, the world’s major cities, without exception, are suffered from the problem ofgrowing traffic problems.Traffic problems can not be resolved just by expanding infrastructure and upgrading theroad. Currently,it is the research focus that combining the road,people,vehicles with thepoint of view of the systems engineering and applying the advanced electronic technology,communication technology, radio frequency technology and control technology to theIntelligent Transportation Systems of the transportation. Traffic information monitoring isone of the core links of intelligent transportation system, and the development level of whichdetermines the success of intelligent transportation systems.In this paper, microwave RFID, with the advantage of ultra-long-horizon, reading speed,multi-tag identification, and reading the high-speed operation of objects etc, is used in theintelligent transportation systems. Traffic information is effectively collected with informationsupport by the RFID reader reading the tag on the vehicle which was placed in the main road.In this paper, a comparative analysis of traffic detection technology are provided, andaccessing to relevant information, traffic detection applications based on RFID technology inthe domestic and international are researched and analysised,and radio frequencyidentification technology, several wireless communication technology and GIS geographicinformation technology and other related theory technologies have been deeply studied.Theoverall design of the system and operating principle of each functional module are given bycombining with the actual situation and needs of the road.The system has researched and achieved the data center systems.In this paper, the C/Smode is used as a architecture of the data center system, which includes two parts of thecentral server and monitoring terminals.In this paper,the subsystem of the control center hasbeen achieved.GPRS wireless network is used as a communications link of the system,connection-oriented TCP/IP protocol was applied to ensure the reliability of data transmission;for the concurrent access problems between radio terminal and the central server tomonitoring terminal and server,the multi-threaded, thread pool,concurrent processing mechanism such as completion port were deeply studied,and the characteristics of thesystem、development cycle and other factors are combined in this paper,which successfulrealized the concurrent access mechanism of the system.According to the need of the systemand application, the database is designed on the basis of ensuring the reliability, security andstability of mass data storage.In order to facilitate monitoring, MapX control is embedded inVC++6.0platform in order to achieve a visual platform and secure login modules ofmonitoring terminal,real-time traffic monitoring module,and historical traffic informationdisplay module and information management module and other modules have been achievedin this paper.Finally, the functionality and performance of the system have been tested to show thatthe system is reliable, in line with expectations.
