This paper mainly studies the protable pulsed laser range finder as semiconductor laser Firstly, the whole system is designed, calculated the relation between transmission light power and receive light power, determined the type of transmission source and its parameters, choosed appropriate photo-electric detector, and completed the optical system design. Secondly, the circuit system of emission and recivement are also designed, completed semiconductor laser driver circuit design and use oscilloscope to test, completed amplifying circuit and filter circuit design. Lastly, designed the timing system, choose high precision time-interval measurement chip TDC-GP21as the core of the system, it is TDC-GP2upgrade the product.This paper also carries a active laser rangefinder research. That is, the receiver directly used the light-probe to receive the emission signal of laser. And realize1000m or more distance measuring.
