With the rapid development of Internet and computer technology, the development of Internet applications are be more and more different kinds. From the beginning of the simple text, the streaming comes out one after another like audio and video. The result is the rapid development of the streaming media systems. The demand and the scale of the service have increasingly stronger, In order to meet the demands, the survey on the streaming media technology has become one of the hot network technology.In the process starting from the unicast to multicast, the streaming media has been developed. And then the technology has become to the CDN or P2P now. Through analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of the streaming media, application layer multicast is one of the key technologies to protect the large-scale service quality of streaming media system, which has become an important part of study.In this paper, a highly efficient and the stable application layer multicast network topology which is P2P streaming media-oriented has been proposed. Based on the application layer multicast technology, it focused on analyzing the effects of application layer multicast to the large-scale of media streaming system, and summarized the typical characteristics of the system. It takes efficiency of multicast robustness, scalability, and the continuity as evaluation indexes, and summarized the typical multicast. In the end, the drawbacks and develop directions of application layer multicast were discussed.The main content of this dissertation is described as follows:The four kinds of topologies for P2P classification are described and evaluated the advantages and disadvantages in this paper. The quad network topology consist of the advantages of structural and non-structural topology, which is designed by the idea of hierarchical quadrant. The system is suitable for the dynamic network of environment and support resources locating, and it has good stability. The paper introduce to a new-kind of topology which is based analysis the disadvantage and advantage of Quad and understand the idea of hierarchical quadrant.The idea of Squad system is designed by two aspects of control and data topology.From the control topology, it mainly analyzes the form of the mesh at the bottom of network. The resources nodes in the mesh correspond to the real scene, so as to smoothly transfer the media streaming. Using the distance algorithm of pattern classification locate the position of nodes, and corresponding to the coordinate of hierarchical quadrant. The above approaches can supply the correct locating, the stability system and good tolerance to faults.From the data topology, it mainly described the form of data-transfer-tree. Using on balanced function balances both parameters of node degree and the transmission delay, so as to get the better spanning tree path, high efficiency and stability.Summing up the above, it is the designing idea of constructing the Squad network topology.At the end of the article, our protocol was simulated and contrasted with NICE protocol.According to index analysis, it was able to judge the Squad system the acts of good whether or not. Then based on that result, we can study the model structure theory. At last, we put forward the future research work based on the existed problem in recent work.
