With the fast development of Internet technology, the demand for the networkbecomes more and more high, which makes the information of multimedia transmissionbecome more and more big. The appearance of streaming media technology to makemultimedia information gain effective transmission, streaming media technology has acharacteristic of downloading while playing. Therefore, on the one hand, the users cangreatly reduce the waiting time to download; on the other hand, it can reduce therequirements of storage capacity. But traditional C/S mode of streaming media systemhas the disadvantages of low cost, bad extendible and so on, these will seriously hamperthe improvement of the quality of streaming media service and capacity expansion, so itcannot fit the large-scale network application. By combining P2P network technologywith the stream media technology, and using the resource of regular node to provideservice for other nodes, it will greatly reduce the pressure of the server and network load,and also make it possible for large-scale network download and watching TV alive. SoP2P streaming media technology has very broad application prospects.First, this paper introduced the theory of streaming media technology, analyzed thesuperiority of P2P technology comparing with the traditional C/S model, and madedetail study on several typical streaming media transmission model.Secondly, the emphasis of this paper, it designed and accomplished a P2P basedlive streaming system which can not only supported a large number of users to receivereal-time stream media data, but also can interacted by sending and receiving databetween user nodes. Nodes interconnected transmission can make the node resourcesfully utilized, effectively reduced on the server and backboned network load, thusgreatly improved the P2P live streaming system stream media service quality, thesystem can realize the large-scale live streaming media.Thirdly, this paper obtained a large number of experimental data on the base of therelevant test about P2P live streaming system for the practical application. These finaldata confirmed that: the system had the virtue of easy implementation, hightransmission efficiency, scalability and low cost, the system could be deeply promoted and used in the future.Finally, this article gave a short summary to the study work of the convectionmedia technology and live system; put forward the deficiencies and future directionswhich can be improved.
