Apple’s iPad, featuring the entirely newly interactive reading experience, hasbeen completely changing the traditional magazine publishing industry, especiallythe fashion magazine, which is the biggest sector. Now it’s a common challenge forall the magazine industry players-how to balance the traditional print publishingbusiness and the emerging digital publishing business to maximize the profit in thedigital publishing era. This article, based on the4P+analysis framework which isthe combination of4P theory and fashion magazine industry analysis, suggests thatindustry players should attract and stick their target readers by4P factors andachieve their revenue by integrated marketing, e-business and value-addedservices in this niche market instead of the conventional publishing and ad sales.
