The Design And Implementation Of Chemistry Laboratory Information Management System For Vocational Colleges

In recent years, with increased investment in the state of higher vocationaleducation, the experimental teaching in vocational colleges has been developingrapidly, and the laboratory construction is further systemized and standardized.Chemistry laboratory is very important part in important part in vocational colleges asthe base to train highly qualified and creative personnel. It is also very important forthe scientific and technical development. With the development of computertechnology and the campus network, it’s an inevitable trend to use advancedinformation management system to control the workflow of the chemical laboratory invocational colleges. This system is developed for this purpose.The chemical laboratory management system for vocational colleges is a typicaldynamic system. Based on the university campus network, the system uses B/S(Browser/Server) mode to adapt to the needs of networked applications. ASPtechnology is used to develop the front page of the system, and SQL Server2008asthe background database to store and manage the date of the system. The SQLServer2008is the latest version, and characterized by the function module reuse rate,and make the system maintenance less costly.This paper first analyzes domestic and foreign research about the LaboratoryInformation Management System (LIMS), and then develops the chemical laboratorymanagement system based on the demand of the vocational college. The systemcontains many modules, including personnel management, laboratory management,chemical reagents management, equipment management, experimental projectmanagement, information management, document management and skills assessmentinformation management. This system has established an effective laboratoryinformation management platform that allows laboratory managers to deal with a lot ofcomplicated information effectively.The innovation of this paper is design of a skillsassessment information management module to organize skills training andexamination of a variety of vocational qualifications, which is really common invocational colleges. This can control the workflow of the skills examination andimprove the function of the system.
