With increasingly energy resources scarce around the world, it becomes animportant issue to research energy resources.3D Geological visualizationtechnology and application provide a scientific tool to establish a mathematicalmodel of the mining. The optimization of the mining model plays a very importantinfluence to make reasonable mining design and production.This paper sets up3D geological model by Surpac system software inPanjiatian iron mine.This article mainly as follows:1. The advantages and disadvantages of lots of3D geological modelingmethods are compared and analyzed.The extent of their use is given. Theinterpolation algorithm of optimization modeling process is realized by the Surpacsoftware in Panjiatian geological modeling.2. Through analysis and research for the geology condition, resources reservesand actual exploitation, Panjiatian iron mine database is established.It mainlyincludes collar (drilling open information table), survery (drilling wellbore surveyinformation table), geology (drilling each subsection geological information table).According to the geological database information and combined with thecharacteristics of all kinds of modeling methods, a3D geological modelingalgorithm is proposed.3. Through the Surpac software, the3D geological mathematical model isrealized. The main models have the solid model and surface model. In the solidmodel, through the analysis and research of different solid modeling, principles andprocesses are put forward. The specific steps of building model are given and thesolid model is constructed. Through the solid model,it is clear that we learn aboutthe geometric distribution of the Panjiatian iron ore. In the surface model, the paper puts forward the specific steps and process. The surface model is established byusing contour line. With the surface model, the surface area can be calculated,exploring the reserves of iron ore, etc.
