All the time, coal mine resources have brought huge economic benefits to ourcoal industry that relies on the tireless efforts of mine exploration personnel andconstruction workers. This not only reduces the efficiency of coal resources mining,but also brings life-threatening to underground staff. In order to develop and exploitthe existing mine resources reasonably, realize the goal not only satisfying the humansociety’s consumption level, there comes the design of digital mine. Building theunderground virtual scene is the basis of digital mine; moreover the construction ofthe tunnel system is the most critical part. Designing more efficient three-dimensionaltunnel modeling method can not only help tunnel designer build tunnel model, and letstaff know the various mine tunnel scene visually, but also can help mine managersmonitor the construction of the coal mining and decision making easily, reduce minecasualties, and improve the efficiency of safe mining.This paper summarizes model and algorithms in the field of mine roadwaystructure modeling method based on images, and aimed at the shortcomings of thesemethods, independent researching on key technologies in modeling, puts forward athree-dimensional tunnel modeling method. Specific studies are as follows:Firstly, this paper by using the relatively mature binocular vision technology atpresent, through the steps of camera calibration, corner detection, stereo matching toanalysis the underground real-time images, and get the real-time3D information of allthe underground key nodes. Then by analyzing the relationship between the relevantentry nodes, we can construct the underground roadway network in real time.Secondly, it presents an algorithm of constructing laneway model based oncomponent, which is designed by me to express the laneway model with thecomponent. The algorithm could be used for different types of tunnel component.Then it gives an algorithm which is used for splicing the overall modeling of theunderground tunnel.Finally, it shows the feasibility and practicality of three-dimensional tunnelmodeling methods based on component by a virtual three-dimensional coal minetunnel generation system. The method has practical value for three-dimensional tunnelmodeling and simulation in the field of Geology and Mineral fields.
