In today’s society whose information is highly developed, information society requires highly developed communication network to provide a wide range of telecommunications services, through the communication network transmission, switching, processing will continue to increase the amount of information, which requires a modern communication network to digital, integrated, intelligent and personal direction.Transmission system is an important part of communication network, the direct access system restricts the development of communication networks. At present the world to develop the information highway, which is the formation of a focus on large-capacity optical transmission and access networks, increasing the signal transmission line rate, widening the transmission band, like an ever-expanding to accommodate a large number of high-speed traffic highway. At the same time users want to have world-wide transmission network interface standards, to achieve our global village each user can easily communicate anytime, anywhere.SDH(Synchronous Digital Hierarchy) is one multiplexer, line transmission and switching functions integrated, unified network management system operated by the integrated messaging network, Bell Communications Research Institute in the United States proposed by the Synchronous Optical Network (SONET). It can achieve effective network management, real-time business monitoring, dynamic network maintenance, interoperability between devices from different manufacturers and many other features, can greatly improve network resource utilization, reduce management and maintenance costs, flexible and reliable and efficient network operation and maintenance, so is the world’s information transmission technology in the field of development and application of hot spots. In addition to SDH technologies, Passive Optical Network (PON) because of its simple, affordable and reliable network topology structure is generally considered an excellent way to access. Ethernet Passive Optical Network (EPON) and Gigabit-Capable PON (GPON) is the PON technology two main techniques to achieve leading EPON or GPON has been a worldwide debate. With SDH technology gradually exposed IP packet carrying the business inefficiencies, PTN(Packet Transport Network) technology unique advantages, such as connection-based, multi-service delivery and support of the core group, with carrier-grade OAM and lower costs, and thus be the mobile, China Unicom, telecommunications and other network operators of all ages, in order to meet the needs of network operators, each PTN equipment vendors such as Alcatel-Lucent and Huawei have made PTN equipment, in order to further the development of next-generation networks. Private network VPN (Virtual Private Network)is difficult to meet in the traditional business of network flexibility, security, economic and other aspects of requirements, based on gradually developed, it is to rely on Internet service providers and network service providers to create a virtual public network dedicated communications network.The main work of this paper reads as follows:A detailed theoretical research is carried out about the theoretical basis of fiber-access network, some construction ideas on the fiber-access network is outlined from SDH, PON and PTN transmission technologies, and the development status and significance of the fiber-access network is summarized.Researched the platform architecture and the platform for business planning of VPN theoretically, including methods of service access and capabilities.Combined with pipe and cable quo of Tianjin MAN,the access needs of large customers and the current transmission technology,thc PON+VPN network building programs are given in this paper,which has achieved road and vehicle surveillance in high definition(10M-100M) monitor point for the first time in Tianjin.This changes the transparent transmission of data hosted by SDH or fiber optic bare fiber,which provides new ideas and solutions for the opening of the dedicated data lines. All that marks the turn of the old and new transmission technology as well as the integration of the transmission network and IP data network into the substance of the application stage.
