Research On Operations And Monitoring Subsystem Of Asom

Performance Monitoring of meteorological observation instrument is the crucial aspect of Comprehensive Meteorological Observation System. Atmospheric observing system operations and Monitoring (hereinafter referred to as the ASOM) can monitor the operation status and the quality of the probe data, can do the comprehensive evaluation and so on by running the operation monitoring system. The ASOM is blanketing weather stations(including New generation weather radar stations,upper air sounding system, automatic weather stations and so on) and various tasks of operation monitoring at all levels including national,provincial and local level.The weather stations, national and provincial technical support departments and the business management departments are ASOM’s main users.Moreover, the subsystem receive all kinds of operating parameter such as running status,failure warning,observing data of meteorological observation instrument gathered from Comprehensive Meteorological Observation Network and demonstrate synthetically, so as to realize the real-time monitoring of status of meteorological equipments and statistical analysis and evaluation of the failure rate, missing rate and validity of data.The monitoring technology of Comprehensive Meteorological Observation System, the definition of research scope and type and the proposition of duty process are studied in this thesis, and the monitoring of the operation equipments and the controlling of the data quality are emphasized. On the basis of investigation and survey continuously, the author excogitates four-level monitoring method and then fosters the idea of Operations and Monitoring Subsystem. Up to now, the system has been used all over the country and provides basic support for the operational equipment selection, maintenance and repair, equipment guarantee.
