Research And Implementation Of Real-time Proactive Monitoring On Integrated Network Management System

With the expanding of mobile communication network size, it is of greatsignificance to creat a comprehensive communication network management systemwhere all the communication equipments are under centralized management.As a tool for the management of mobile communication network, thecomprehensive network management system is based on the network to analyse themalfunctions of monitoring the operating condition and to evaluate the performanceof all the ultimate equipments which make up the network. Thus through this system,we can know the operating condition of the whole network and judge whether all theequipments under supervision are working sound so that we can put all the UTRANand core networks’ equipments under control and management.Real-time performance monitoring is a module for network performancemanagement in this system, which can find out the abnormal monitoring technologiesby itself through the real-time monitoring of the capability and quality indicator of thenetwork businesses. By putting all the net elements’ performance monitoring into onesystem, it has solved the problem that net elements are hard to monitor aroused by thescattered system and thus has met the centralized monitoring requirements of telecomoperators.In this essay, based on the operation features of telecom companies andaccording to the comprehensive network management system’s features, structures,funtions and design principles, we have designed a system module of real-timeperformance monitoring which is centralized, unified, standardized and extendible,made deep research on the goals, technology requirements, procedure arrangements,principles of algorithm design and function design of the module, developed andrealized two parts of the function of collecting the real-time performance dates, whichare data acquisition and supplement acquisition. At last, we have successfullydesigned and realized the real-time performance monitoring based on thecomprehensive network management system, which has been widely used in atelecom operator’s network performance monitoring with sound effectiveness.
