Data transmission and baseband data processing system plays an important role in theapplication of sensing system. It is used for restoring the data of payload on spacecrafts byaccording to the output of remote-sensing-receiver. The processing procedure of the systemincludes frame synchronization, descrambling, RS-decoding, AOS format processing, CCSDSimage uncompressing and saving-transmission data. This thesis concentrated on several keytechnologies and proposed the plan of data transmission and baseband data processing systemon sensing satellite. The system’s hardware platform which meets the requirement of highspeed bit rate processing is made up of high performance blade server and the system hasgood generality, scalability and easy maintenance. The main work includes the following twoaspects:1. Data transmission and baseband data processing system on sensing satellite is in thedata link layer of CCSDS protocol, thus the system data format is designed according to thestandard of CCSDS AOS. Reed-Solomn code is adopted to improve the reliability of dadatransmission in system scheme, because it shows great advantages in correcting the randomerrors and burst errors. After studying several image compression technology standards,analysing the CCSDS image compression algorithm performance through the experiments,and comparing the CCSDS image compression algorithm with JPEG2000algorithm, theresult shows that the CCSDS image compression algorithm has the same quality of reconsturtimage as much as JPEG2000algorithm with lower complexity. In order to fit for the standardof image compression on spacecrafts, the CCSDS image compression standard is used in thissystem.2. Visual Studio2005and Intel IPP library are the main tools to design the applicationsolftware on the HP blade server whose operation system is Windows Sever2003. The systemis designed under the principle of standardization, module and structure, and it is extensibleand multi-level. The solftware function contains frame synchronization, descrambling,RS-decoding, AOS format processing, CCSDS image compressing, etc. After testing eachmodule’s function, the test results show the system meets performance requirement.Comparing to the baseband processing equipment based on FPGA, the basebandprocessing equipment based on blade server is the intergration of data transmission andprocessing system, so it is easy for management and maintenance, and has good scalability.The study and application of CCSDS AOS protocol standard speed up the process of carring out the CCSDS AOS standard in China and internationalization.
