TV culture is the main part of the cultural output and the major carriers and meansof cultural power. TV variety show becomes to the favorite of the people of the worldwith its era features, great art inclusive and great entertainment features. The role ofthe TV variety show in the cultural output should not be underestimated. The U.S. TVvariety show has been succed in attracting the attention of the world, and influence isenormous.There is a long distance to catch America.So There is an importantsignificance to learn the experience of the U.S. TV variety show in production andmarketing.It will be useful for enhance the influence of the Chinese TV variety showand promote Chinese culture to enhance the image.In this paper, we combine the two methods of cases study and comparativeanalysis together. We conduct our research by focusing on the concept of the TVvariety show. Then we summarize the history of the TV variety show between Chinaand the U.S..And we focus on the TV variety show of the two countries in the content,form, aesthetic value the similarities and differences, aesthetic effect, and industrialoperation. We identify similarities and differences between them through thecomparison of actual case.Through research, the paper argues that there are many differences between themof the two different cultural backgrounds and political systems. On the content, theChinese TV variety choose the social benefits to the highest standards, while the U.S.focus on economic efficiency. In form, Chinese TV variety show depend on theperformance of the unique national characteristics interpretation, but the U.S. TVvariety show is more consistent in the use of technology to create audio-visual feast. Inthe aesthetic aspects, on behalf of middle-class interest and the value orientation of thespirit of scientific ethics is a notable feature of the U.S. TV variety show, on behalf ofa civilian complex and ethical value of the spirit of pro-gaze is accepted by theChinese TV variety show. In the industrial operation, the degree of industrial operationof Chinese TV variety show is low, and mainly rely on advertising to increase the gains,however, the United States show is rich in commercial capital, standardization ofindustrial production, and the way of sale of multi-level global dumping.
