For now, the weaknesses of the the automatic soil moisture observation stationspresent obviously, such as dispersions, simplex function, complex operation,inconvenience etc. In addition, the stations operate independently, there’s no unifieddata management platform, time statistics, historical data and we can’t monitoringeffectively or share the informations. In a word, the effect of the automatic soil moistureobservation station is being optimize.After analysising the current correlationtechniques and for the above problems, the author designed and accomplished theautomatic soil moisture observation station’s service platform for the GuangxiMeteorological Departments based on the practical requirements.This platform is based on the broadband network of Guangxi MeteorologicalDepartments, meanwhile, the data from the automatic soil moisture observation stationis under quality controled.The platform is web-based, combined with C/S (Client/Server)and B/S (Browser/Server), and using MapInfo and SQL database. Both of the ADO andASP are used in the access of the database. The C++Builder language will be used byprogramming the server and client software, therefore, all of the data centralized controlby the platform. the information from the automatic soil moisture observation stationswill be data sharing by chart on the network. In that way, the technicists not only get thedata very easily and fast by using this platform, but also promote the data correctionmaintenance.The platform helps the technicists ensures the running of the automatic soilmoisture observation stations effectively.
