The author as an employeeof environmental information department in LanHai, put forward the development videoconference system solutions after researching, and involved in the system requirementanalysis, design, implementation, project management process. The scheme discussesthe process that how to use related technology of Java and develop the video conferencesystem based on the SIP protocol.The research work of this thesis includes two parts:(1) using SIP protocol tocomplete call control, so as to achieve the management of the meeting.(2) using RTPagreement and related technology of Java to achieve the multimedia communication.Through research and development of this system that has made the followingachievements:(1) video conference server, its main functions include: preside over themeeting, control conference, end the meeting; the client, its main function is to attendthe meeting, participate in file management operation.(2) On the network using SIP andIP multicast technique between more media circulation letter. In system development,the main technologies is including Java multimedia technology and networkprogramming, Java multicast technology, etc. The specific implementation featuresinclude: text transmission function, and to realize the transmission of files in themeeting, and use Java input/output mechanism to file upload, download, transmissionand edit operation.(3) Implement the function of audio and video conversation, to realize the remote conversation function. Using the Java network programmingtechnology and IP multicast technology, to achieve the network transmission, video toupload, ripping, format conversion operation, etc.After many tests, the system has been online operated in LanHai environmentalprotection internal, function steady. It brings the efficiency of management for thecompany, saves the cost of management and improves the efficiency of themanagement.
