Oilcan is a widely used facility in oil industry, and there still are a large number ofenterprises which monitor oil-level by traditional hand or half-automation means. Allthese monitoring means are with high labor intensity, poor reliability, and bad real-timeperformance. In order to promote infomationization degree of oilcan monitoring fields,as well as, improve oilcan management efficiency, conducting.in-depth research onautomatic monitoring technologies based on computer for oilcans, and developingapplication products on these technologies have quite-important theory significance andapplication values.On the basis of introduces to oilcan monitoring technologies and products at homeand abroad, firstly this thesis gives detailed statements on the function, performance andenvironment requirements of oilcan monitoring system. Then, based on therequirements, it does the scheme design for the software structure, and exhibits moduledemarcation, database design and algorithm design for the system, moreover, this thesisdemonstrates coding implement details for the software, as well as, exhibits mainsoftware windows, introduces the testing, and gives out the final testing results.Summed up, the developed oilcan monitoring system adopts classical C/S model, itis made up with two sub-systems, and it takes ACCESS2003as well as SQL SERVER2005as the application database platforms. The software system collects oilcan statusdata by liquid-level sensor, sends/receives data by RS-485and GPRS wireless network,and exhibits the oilcan monitoring results by graphical representation means. Testingresults and applications show that the developed software system has such thesefeatures as good real-time performance, high accuracy degree and easy manipulation.
