Embedded technology has already been widely permeated in every respect of society during the post PC age with top development of digital information technology and network technology. The embedded technology has already become one of the hottest technologies with the development of 32 bit high performance ARM microprocessor and appearance of large quantity embedded operating system.It has already been widely applied in the control system suh as electric power system, water supply system, oil industry, chemical industry, etc.At present, the oilcan is one of the main floor equipment in the oil field develops. Using embedded technology to realize the real time supervisory control to oilcan equipment is the important effect link in increases the value, the production and efficiency in oil industry.According to the characteristics and the requirements of the function, this paper confirms the hardware and software designe scheme of the oilcan remote terminal based on ARM and embedded RTOS VxWorks.As for the hardware designe of the monitoring terminal, an advanced 32 bit ARM9 array microcontroller S3C2410x is used as a main controller in the system. The external 64M×8bit K9F1208NAND Flash is used to save the BootLoader and RTOS image. A/D convert channel and I/O port is used to realize the data acquisition channel. The three serial ports are used to fulfill GPRS communication; local communication debug seraial port and WDB debugger connection.This hardware also include USB interface, etc.In order to fulfill the communication between the oilcan remote terminals and the center of the monitoring system, TCP/IP protocol need to used to serve as the base of the conversion between GPRS packets and the datas. We transplant ERTOS VxWorks which include TCP/IP protocol on S3C2410x. In the course of the trandplanting of VxWorks, we develop the BootLoader which use USB as the communication channel to enhance the development efficiency.In order to fulfill the data gathering, data management and data transfer we add interrupt controller driver, system clock driver, UARTdriver and A/D convert driver to the transplant course of the VxWorks.The research of oilcan monitoring terminal which uses ARM and ERTOS VxWorks has fulfill the real time, stabilization and credibilityof the oilcan monitoring system.Transplant VxWorks which include TCP/IP protocol on the hardware has reduced the cost.In the course of the system development we develop the Boot Loader which base on USB has enhance the exploitation efficiency. Meanwhile,We believe that will have vaster application prospect as we make use of this supervisory control terminal to develop new control system based the requires.
