Along with the progress of science and technology and the deepening of worldeconomy integration, industrial production in various fields have a higher and higherdemand of the magnetostrictive liquid level sensor. However, almost all the domesticproductions of the magnetostrictive liquid level sensor have a low measuring accuracy, andthe key materials and circuit in high precision liquid level sensor is still dependent onforeign country. Therefore, a magnetostrictive liquid level sensor has been studied anddesigned.The magnetostrictive liquid level sensor was designed from the two aspects ofhardware and software. According to the selection principle of waveguide wire, themagnetostrictive material with a high performance was chosen as the core material of themagnetostrictive liquid level sensor. And according to the modular design, the powersupply circuit, pulse current drive circuit, signal amplification circuit, a signal comparisoncircuit, a single-chip microcomputer minimum system, display circuit and temperaturedetection circuit and other modules were designed. In order to have strong anti-interferenceability and good stability, the circuits were carried on the simulation and optimization.Among the circuits, an optical coupling push-pull output is applied in the pulse drive circuitto increase the response speed, and a differential amplification to boost the anti-interferenceability. In the aspect of software, to make up the anti-interference shortage of hardwarecircuit, the median filtering method and FIR filtering method was applied to signalprocessing of the liquid level sensor. Therefore, the reliability and stability of the liquidlevel sensor has been further improved. This thesis uses ATmega16chip to combine thehardware with the software, and the experimental system of magnetostrictive liquid levelsensor was built. Using solenoid detection methods, a differential detection device wasdesigned. Through the experimental research and analysis, the related theoreticalconclusions and experimental results have been obtained.The work of this thesis provides a good experimental platform for further study andoptimizing the design of magnetostrictive liquid level sensor, and it also has a certainguiding significance for the research work in the future.
