Micro-seismic mostly generated by underground stress field changes caused byhydraulic fracturing or conventional water injection, gas injection, and many otherpetroleum engineering jobs. It is an important basis for the analysis of distributiontoward of oil and gas reservoirs. The micro-seismic monitoring is a technic whichrealise by using visualization techniques for the micro-seismic signals collected tofracture imaging for the purpose of monitoring the reservoir fluid movement. It began inthe1970s.It is the product of the development of the computer and the signalrecognition technology which can be used for oil field production monitoring, activitymonitoring of natural cracks, and oil field fluid drive fluid front tracking and otherfields. For the domestic oil industry, the micro-seismic is an emerging field. It needsin-depth study both in monitoring technology and the later data analysis, as well as theexplaination of software.The micro-seismic data visualization system is the product of the combination ofscientific visualization and micro-seismic exploration technology. By introducing thedesign and implementation of micro-seismic data visualization and interactive operationin this essay, we specifically described the relationship between them.First of all, through the demand of micro-seismic data, we provide data managementareas and graphical display on the main interface of the system.The display area whichuses a multi-document structure (MDI) to support the display of the diversity ofmicro-seismic data, has greatly improved the system’s scalability and interactivity.Secondly, through analysis of system data files, we design a unified interface forkinds of data file’s formats involved by the system to access. For the feature of Levelmanagement of micro-seismic data, the system organize data into a file structure and isstored in the form of tree structure which improves the efficiency of access. At the sametime, the Observer pattern is a good solution to the problem of data needs to be updated.Finally, it forms a cell library system through OpenGL display list which achieve avariety of figure drawing. Combined with the need of micro-seismic data interpretation,we realize rotation, scaling, picking up, projection, playing and other interoperabilities, which orgnise a visualization system for micro-seismic data.Through a deep research of micro-seismic data visualization system, the essay realizea micro-seismic monitoring subsystem with a good performance, stable operation. It is anecessary software platform for the promotion of micro-seismic monitoring technology,and build a good foundation for the promotion of Micro-seismic technic.
