At present, seismic data 3D visualization is the cutting-edge technology of geosciences and is one of the cores of Seismic Data Processing System as well. The research on it can perfect the method of 3D geological modeling, promote the theory and method development of Seismic Data Processing System, and lay the theoretical and methodological foundation on developing the practical commercial software.The main content of this thesis is the research and implementation of 3D images display, which is a part of Seismic Data Processing QC System. The system has achieved the function of controlling the quality of attribute data and velocity data. It can visualize the seismic data to help the users to process and interpret such data. Using the theory of the terrain and geological body 3D visualization as the start-point, this thesis presents the detailed descriptions about the design and implementation of two 3D visualization modules of the QC systems.Firstly, in view of the rendering problem between precision and velocity, an integrated solution for surface modeling is put forward. The solution consists of Grid model, Kriging interpolation algorithm and dynamic adjustment of interpolation scale. Besides, a base class of seismic data visualization is introduced, which is based on the theories of inheritance and polymorphism. It makes the codes reusable and extensible.Secondly, through exploring the data models of 3D geological body as well as analyzing the source, format and organizing methods of seismic data, a new file structure called Brick File is presented. Meanwhile, a rendering method based on Brick File is designed, which is reading the data files of different densities when stopping or playing the data slices. Based on the new file structure and method, the implementation of the functions of visualizing geological body and playing data slices is done.Finally, the overall framework of Seismic Data Processing System and the main functions of 3D visualization modules are designed and implemented. This system has a concise user interface, rich functions, and users can interact with it friendly and extend it easily. QC system has already been delivered and now enters the phrase of promotion.
