The modern oral planting technology has become one of the important treatments of missing tooth after nearly half a century’s development. In the process of treatment reasonable implant planning system not only help doctors to reduce the complications, but also reduce wound of surgery to the patient and accelerate recovery rate. The accurate positioning of dental Implant is the foundation of dental implants planning and the accurate registration of the position is crucial to the success of the dental implants. The paper firstly analyze existing implant denture planning methods comprehensively. Research a series of innovative methods to extract implantation axis and registrat template in implant denture planning system. Propose an scheme which is apply to small and medium-sized hospitals in our country, under the precondition of accurate positioning of dental Implant and accurate registration of the position. Complete the design and manufacture of dental implant navigation system. And inspect the effectiveness of the planning through experiment.The paper does the work as for the follow:(1)An interactive digital jaw cutting model is established. Reconstructed3-D model of jaw based on CT scan data with light tracing accelerated algorithm, Constructed planning coordinate system based on Cross-sectional, sagittal plane and coronal plane of jaw with2-D interactive cutting of data space.(2) The ideal implantation axis is extracted and registering exactly. Implant area is schemed with3-D bounding box method, established planning coordinates system model with the algorithm of the center of mass, proposed an algorithm of implantation axis measure coordinate through registration, established Virtual processing model.(3) Dental implant navigation system is designed and manufacted. Dental implants navigation system is developed with a prototype of five axis CNC movement system, which consist of the human-computer interaction planning system, numerical control movement system and STM32-centered embedded servo control system, and inspected the effectiveness of the planning through human jaw specimens.
