In recent years, with the rapid development of communication,embedded computing and sensor technology, and the wireless sensornetworks (WSN) technology has been widely used in the field of alarm andsecurity, industrial monitoring and environmental monitoring.With the development of industry and the increasing demand forenergy in society, safety of oil field production in human life has becomemore and more significant. Many problems wildly occured in the productionprocess, such as oil production discontinued and pipeline leaked. If notdetected in time, these problems not only cause huge economic losses, butalso pollute the environment seriously.In this paper,on the basis of in-depth study of WSN technology, thereseach has been expanded on SimpliciTI network protocol, which is anopen source, low-power RF protocol and developed by TI company,including the network protocol modules, the architecture, frame structureand frequency agility mechanism and so on. A design solution which basedon the SimpliciTI protocol for wireless sensor network oil-wells monitoringsystem was proposed after the further reseach on SimpliciTI ad hocnetworking. In this paper,networking and running of the wireless sensornetwork system is studied and designed deeply. The design section includessystem hardware design and software design. Hardware includes theMSP430, CC2500, sensors and peripheral circuits; the software partincludes the transplantation of the SimpliciTI protocol, Visual Basic upcomputer program and database design.Finally, the results of the system test has been analyzed, expressed thismonitoring system better met the monitoring requirements of the oil well,and had good communication. Due to the features of SimpliciTI networkprotocol, such as low-power, short development cycle, easy and flexible networking, the system not only monitors the oil well production effectively,but also reduces manpower and material resources to achieve the designrequirements of the network.
