Mongolian Ancient Books Collection Research

The range of the research on Mongolian ancient books is very extensive. This thesis takes the Mongolian ancient books as the research object and makes a systematic research on the collection, cataloging and protection applications of the collections of Mongolian ancient books in library from the perspective of library science, philology, publishing and it also illustrates and analyzes the achievements of the modern management of the Mongolian ancient books and the existing problems.The thesis is composed of six parts:Introduction, Chapter One, Chapter Two, Part Chapter Three, Chapter Four, and the Conclusion. First, Introduction gives a brief description to the Mongolian ancient books, and then summarizes the general situation of the collection of Mongolian ancient books, the research on them, and finally elaborates the research content and scope of research, research methodology, purpose and significance. Chapter One describes the situation of the collection of the Mongolian ancient books abroad, and summarizes the characteristics and significance of each stage of the collection activities. Chapter Two tells the general situation of the collection of Mongolian ancient books in China, making longitudinal observation of the collection of Mongolian ancient books in the ancient time, in the first half and the second half of the20th century, and also gives a detailed description of the situation of Mongolian ancient books collected. Chapter Three gives a detailed introduction to the classification, cataloging of Mongolian ancient books with the research methodology of library science. Chapter Four makes a survey of the protection, development and utilizing of the collection of Mongolian ancient books, points out the problems existed, and puts forward the countermeasures and suggestions. The conclusion part sorts out the content of the thesis, lists the achievements and limitations of the thesis, and gives a clear presentation of the main points of the thesis.
