With social productivity improvement, production requirements are getting higher and higher, since the Lean Management theory got success in Toyota in Japan, it spread quickly. This design combines the lean management theory and embedded technology firstly, and makes the system of production line Management based on ARM-the terminal of the Lean Management, this paper focuses on design and implementation of terminal based on the Lean Management system.Firstly, this paper introduces the birth, development and current situation of Lean Management theory, and analyzes the characteristics, applications of embedded system, puts forward a proposal that combining Lean Management theory and embedded system to solve the needs of enterprises. according to the business needs, this paper gives hardware architecture of the system, selects the OS with detailed contrast, which also contains the determining of the software development tools, development processes and development methods, and then gives details of the hardware design, including the choice of the core board, the kernel configuration, the implementation of file system, the change of screen picture in booting, the design and connectivity of the various hardware modules. next, this paper gives software system design, followed by elaborate processes of the various functional modules, as well as every part of the detailed design and implementation, including the actual renderings for some modules. finally, this paper presents the system test results.This design uses the latest core board based on the ARM11CPU in the hardware, which permits a rapid, real-time system, and the core board contains a wealth of hardware resources, which facilitates system design and debugging, as well as future upgrades; in the OS, this design uses Linux os to ensure the system stability and reliability, even the system works a long hours; on the display, this design uses1024x768high-resolution LCD display, makes display easy and clear; in the operation, this design takes the keyboard plus touch screen, makes the operation easy and convenient, in addition, mass of system prompt information, which makes the operator always know the system status, prevents from mistaking; in the management of role, this design use the RFID card to complete a variety of permission to operate.The result of actual using shows that the terminal works well, and it is a powerful industrial monitoring and exception management solutions, it can be deployed and used by various forms to solve overmuch operations of human intervention, slowness of handling exception, slowness of statistics in the production line management, which can effectively save production time, improve production line efficiency, and greatly improve enterprise management level.
