With the rapid development of Internet, the use of internet business has become more and more common. While enterprises are expanding their business and scale, they need plenty of software applications to satisfy their requirements. However, these software applications are independent to each other, they store users’ information with their own databases of different kinds which brings about a big number of scattered, isolated information and makes them become information islands. It not only brings inconvenience to users, but also increases the maintenance costs to the enterprise, and even affects the enterprise activities. In order to enhance the interoperability among applications, improve user experience, reduce maintenance costs and eliminate complexity resulted by heterogeneous mechanism of storage, we need to set up a unified account management platform to coordinate the process of accounts during creating, updating and deleting.Traditional solutions to account management of multiple applications, often change the original structure of application and generate one kind of unified data model to transfer and copy account information to each other. It not only brings invasion to applications, but also needs a lot of time to study the application structures. Besides, these solutions mainly focus on existing data and are lack of creating unified accounts. On the basis of traditional solutions and current advanced technologies, the research work done in this article covers the following several aspects:Firstly it gives analysis and research on the mechanism of RDB and LDAP with the result that can access any database dynamically. Secondly it introduces workflow technology, especially its function about process definition, process management and task notification. Afterwards, JBPM is chosen as the realizing engine. Finally, In order to solve the problem caused by their different mechanism between each application, this article puts forward a model that uses mapping policy to exchange data between data layers. These data layers are divided by the structural character of each application’s database. Based on the above studies, this article finally puts forward and realize a common workflow based model for managing account information. Its main functions are as follows. On the one hand, it can open account on each application according to the user’s authorities uniformly. On the other hand, when user’s information changes on certain application, it will cause other applications to varies synchronously. There are some innovation points in this paper, such as muti-functional attribute mapping rule and the original method for resolving data interaction between heterogeneous applications, which can greatly reduce the invasion to each application.
