The design of the1553B data bus network test hardware system based on LXI is introduced by this paper. For the Characteristics of the1553B cable network test system, we realize the hardware system by using the LXI bus to take advantage of this technology. For Further research, we developed a new1553B protocol board to adapt to the LXI bus and the test process. For the whole system, each of the LXI bus terminal is made up by an LXI generic board and a PMC function board or a test instrument, thus we can realize design reuse and reduce the design work. We do a lot of innovation to make the system optimized, high performance and low cost.The paper first introduces the study and production for the1553B data bus network test system at home and abroad. Then it describes the function and performance that this system needs to achieve. After describing, analyzing and comparing several design solutions based on the requirement of this system, we summarized the advantages and innovation for this hardware system solution:1) we adopted the LXI bus in this system, making full use of the advantage of the LXI bus, such as timing synchronization trigger, distributed network with high reliability, flexible structure, enough COTS equipments for use, WEB interface;2) in the realization of the LXI bus, there are some innovation,for example, using PMC interface board to make the design to be reused, using PowerPC to increase processing capacity, implying three trigger modes for timing synchronization;3) considering the requirements of this system, we developed a1553B bus protocol cards with the trigger synchronization functions.This paper focuses on describing the "LXI common function carrier board" and the "1553B protocol card". These two parts introduce the research for the technologies about IEEE1588, M-LVDS and1553B bus protocol.In the last, we described the testing and verification for the hardware prototype of this test system. Then we summarized this paper, and pointed out the shortcomings and follow-up study for this research.
