PROFIBUS is becoming more and more widespread because it’s advantages, such as good real-time characteristic, high transfer rate, great flexible and open protocol. To make traditional electrical fire control system be connect to the PROFIBUS network and interconnect other products to achieve an open and distributed control system,the thesis designed a Electrical fire control system based on PROFIBUS, which not only can possess the availability of conventional fire monitoring and protection function, but also can compose the communication network with other devices by the PROFIBUS protocol conversion interface.(1) By analyzing the status and trends of development in the electrical fire control system, the limitations of traditional electrical fire control system are pointed out, and the solution of electrical fire control system based on PROFIBUS is proposed. The features of PROFIBUS, the physical layer and the data link layer of the PROFIBUS-DP are also described.(2) By analyzing the function and the property indexes of each module, the overall plan and design ideas of the electrical fire control system based on the PROFIBUS are given. And the communication data between master station and slave station is also designed.(3) According to PROFIBUS protocol standards (GB/T20540-2006), hardware design is proposed with chosing hardware to realize PROFIBUS-DP protocol conversion interface. The main principles and implementation method of the hardware circuit are respectively described, including PROFIBUS-DP communication module, power module, RS485communication module. The software design plan of PROFIBUS protocol conversion interface is proposed with the design implementation process of the software.The implementation of the PROFIBUS-DP protocol conversion is discussed in detail with the flow chart.(4) According to the national standards about electrical fire control system (GB14287-2005), hardware design of the electrical fire monitor is given. Detailed hardware design and realization of each module are analyzed, including the microprocessor module,signal pickup module, linkage and tripping module, alarm module, and power supply module.The overall software design and the detail of the leakage protection, and the realization of voltage and current protection are given.(5) The function of the protocol conversion and electrical fire controller are respectively tested, the test results are analyzed, and the conclusions are given. According to the functional requirements of mater station, The HMI is designed by WINCC and STEP7software.Combining electric fire monitor, PROFIBUS-DP protocol conversion module and HMI, the whole system communication is also tested, the relevant test results and conclusions are also given.The test and operation results show that the system is not only stable and operated reliably, but also the technical indicators reaching the desired design requirements. Meanwhile, PROFIBUS-DP protocol conversion module passes CPCC test.
