With the improvement of domestic medical system and further opening of medicalmarket, digitalized hospital has become the cynosure of the society and an importantfactor which affects the level of medical treatment, service quality and competitionability of hospital. Recently, HIS and LIS have matured, supporting the daily operationof hospital. However, the applications of information systems such as RIS, PACS stillcannot be well achieved, because they involve problems relating to the integration ofdiverse medical information.Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) is the important step ofe-hospital. Meanwhile, To exchange information between PACS or modalities fromdifferent venders. PACS should support DICOM3.0, which is a standard by ACR andNEMA.DICOM Standard involve even all the aspect of digital health images, such asacquiring image, achieving, communication, display and query etc. As a opening jointprotocol, DICOM Standard specifies a number of Information Object Classes whichprovide an abstract definition of real-world entities applicable to communication ofdigital health images and related information, such as analysis and report, and definesthe protocol of interaction of information, exchanging of messages including ServiceClasses and message command set etc. The appearance of DICOM promotes healthimage information exchanging in various imaging devices and systems. In the processof building and purchasing PACS, it is as well known that the system or deviceconforming to DICOM is a must. This thesis analyzes the DICOM and IHE standards, and proposes a schema fordigitalized hospital taking factual demands of domestic hospital into account. Thisschema strictly follows DICOM standard, absorbs the design idea of IHE and apply theObject-Oriented Software Engineering theory and method to design and implement.Unify Modeling Language (UML) is used to describe analyses and specification. Andwe utilize kinds of elements of reusable Object-Oriented software----Design Patterns. As an emphasis, the Physician WorkStation sub system are introduced, involving the Static Structure, the Object Interaction and so on.
