Radio frequency identification (RFID), which consists of tags, readers, antennasand back-end applications, is used to identify a specific target. Because it had manyadvantages such as reading and writing fast, strong penetrating power, long-rangeidentification, long working life and reusable, etc., RFID are widely used in variousproduction areas of life, both as the crop of one of the basic technology of networking.Meanwhile, with the development of economic, trade and shipping logistics, securityand controllability of the container transport is becoming more and more important, theuse of RFID technology container information collection management and worldwidegoods tracking has high research value and development potential.This dissertation focuses on researching and designing a tag chip, which based onthe ISO/IEC18000-6B standard, can be applied to the field of customs, theidentification of goods in and out of the customs barriers and ensure the security ofcontainer transport. First, the general description of the course of development anddomestic and international status of the RFID technology is given, and discuss itsdevelopment trend. Second, the theoretical basis of the RFID system, and called for thedevelopment of standards-based system architecture and technical specifications of thetag chip if given, and at the same time, discuss and analyze the design of high sensitivity,stable reference source, low power and low bit error rate and propose solutions. Then,the system architecture is divided to sub-modules to design and simulation respectively,and progressively realizing the optimization of the circuit. Finally, the entire system isimplemented in TSMC0.18μm CMOS mixed signal process technology, the occupiedchip area is0.49mm2. The measured power consumption is about6μW. Switch statemonitoring, read/write and inventory and lock functions has been realized.
