Based on the Li Gang case, this thesis with the quantitative analysis horizontally researches on transmission flow in the early stage(in four days). Taking Hot Posts Replies of Li Gang Case as the breakthrough point, this paper focuses on the formation and changes of the online public opinion’s topics in single source field, to preliminarily draw burst network public opinion’s information dissemination and changes map.In micro-blog, forums and reports areas, The first part of this thesis analyzes the early information transmissions of Li Gang Case in and between the three areas. We find that burst network public opinion in early stage generally can be divided into three dissemination flow:the first from someone involved to the online community and social networking sites, and related news will rapidly expand the influence; the second from the official to the local media and authoritative news website, and then flows into the local news website; the third from traditional media to the local news website and the industry website. In the field of micro-blog, micro-blogs’ sources generally are not clear, mainly to provide information. Also, network opinion leaders as a micro-blog VIP users will greatly influence the micro-blog opinion by their releases. In the forum, sources are mainly from the Internet, and informed people emerge to provide a large number of first-hand information. Forum influence is tremendous so that it can not be replaced in expanding the burst public opinion’s influence, but the emergencies will be attractive shortly only in one day.In the report area, reports take the Internet as the leading source, supplemented by local police source. There are many related reports published by local media and authoritative news website, and reprinted by local news websites mostly. In the early stage of the burst network public opinion, reports and reviews both flourish, and " news wave" and "comment wave" come up before and after. But opinion leaders are still largely from those who may already have served as opinion leaders in the real life, limited to text workers, public officials and intellectuals.Citing the’Li Gang’Case as an example, the second part of this thesis researches on the features of topics’ changing that appears in the post replies as well as the correlation between those topics and the original main post at the aim of features and process of the burst network public opinion. In the thesis, it is discovered that important topics appeared in the replies change in different phases. In quiet period of the post, supporting replies and replies that provide information about the progress of the event play a more important role. In sequence of time, post replies tend to discuss the details mentioned in the original main post first, then concentrate on the general background of the event, and in the end evaluate the event. The topics of replies witness four distinct stages, namely,’centralizing’,’moving’,’decentralizing’and’returning’. This paper is the first one that focuses on the post replies on the internet, attempting to shed some light on research and measurement of public opinion online and provide a vertical dimension for burst network public opinion.
