The Construction Of Bank Branth Network Management Platform Based On SNMP

In recent years, our financial industry depends on some key projects such as the data centralization project, optimized and integrated networking infrastructure. But the simple network management software only can finish equipment management, without the unity of guiding principles and policies; it can not exploit the advantage of networks comprehensive management in the rapid developing network environment. Base on our experience of years network management and the search result of colleagues, establish network management platform become the very important part of network management and network development policy analysis. It became the first thing to design network management platform of the provincial stem、branch、sub-branch until terminal and to realize the reunification of the monitoring network、scientific management, to guarantee safety in production and enhance network availability and optimizing.SNMP is the factual standard in network management industry, and it is mainly applied to network fault management, fault management is the most important part of network management. Network fault monitoring is the effective premise of fault management. The design of high-quality network fault monitoring system and achieve efficient network fault monitoring have great practical meaning and value to improve the robustness and reliability of the network system and the availability of services.First of all, this thesis briefly discoursed SNMP and network management, then made a detail analysis about network malfunction management expertise and technology for monitoring system. Based on these technical, we construct the network management platform of branch banks. it is a technology platform which can support the network management function of provincial stem, it take network monitoring system and maintenance automatic operation as the main task, and with networking event, realize evaluation of network events, performance, the flow of information statistical analysis assessment and availability, capacity and service level. The main functions of the platform includes:equipment management, user management, equipment data collection, data warehousing, threshold settings, failure to receive, traffic monitoring, performance monitoring, topology discovery, statements statistics, log management, and so on. Finally, this thesis gives the test results and performance of network management platform in the bank office network environment, makes the summary and prospects of the research.
