The Study, Based On The Snmp Protocol Network Management Platform

The paper particularly and thoroughly studied SNMP(Simple Network Management Protocol). And mostly researched ASN. I (Abstract Syntax Notation One), MIB(Management Information Base) dictionary order, SNMP message transportation, coding and decoding, MLB access and storage in Database, network topology structure automatic search and display by a certain route selection algorithm and network topology structure display algorithm. On the base of analyzing of SNMP and concrete requirement of a certain military information system, using Visual C++6.O,MS Access Database and under the system W1nNT, developed a simple field local area network management system FNMS. Realized MLB variable query, loop, automatic search, display of network topology structure, malfunction alarm etc. function and used graphical interface to display.
