Cross-platform Distributed Heterogeneous Snmp Network Management System To Achieve

The importance of network management is people can access the information in different places. The network fault caused by some reasons has brought great inconvenience. High-quality network management architecture can reduce the complexity and make the system managed and maintained easily. At the same time, it can reduce the expense .A new Java-based portable, SNMP and distributed NM model in heterogeneous network is proposed after analyzing all kinds of network management mode, protocols. The solution and implementation ways are discussed according to the main line of correlated concepts ---the implementation principles and algorithms--- concrete implementation steps. The thesis consists of three parts (Chapter 2 to Chapter 4). The development course of SNMP communicated protocol is introduced in Chapter 2. It also analyses the message type, the communicated principle and mechanism of SNMP network management, which lays foundation for constructing this network management system. The present network management modes are compared in Chapter 3. Combined with the Java and Web techniques. A new Java-based portable, SNMP and distributed NM model in heterogeneous network is proposed, emphasizing on the solution of the across-platform and MIB heterogeneity and present a strategy of constructing abstract MIB view. In addition, the system brings out the distributed proxy mode, reducing the complexity of network management and promoting the expansibility The Chapter 4 concentrates on the design and implementation of network management functions. It mainly covers the configuration management and performance management. The implementation of network topology function is the basis for other function. The architecture not only completes the third layer topology function, but also completes the second layer topology function in heterogeneous network. The abstract MIB access layer is applied in cluster configuration management. The performance management implements the basic monitoring function and Remote Monitor function. RMON is a remedy for the SNMP insufficiency, lowing the cost of management and operation.
