"Wen Qi Bao Ban" is a reference book compiled privately by ascholar in Ming Dynasty, the writer of the common edition is Chen Jiru.The book consists of twelve volumes, it is divided into ten categories. Thesort of “literature and history” is divided into three volumes, the twelfthvolume is "word study" which rarely appeared in other books.This article analyzed from the authors investigations, versions, style,content, value etc., it is analyze the author of "Wen Qi Bao Ban", thecharacteristics of inclusive words, values and shortcomings.This article is divided into six parts:The first part is an introduction, mainly introduces the cause ofselected topic, research summary and research methods. The firstchapter introduces the author and versions, using the availableinformation examine and correct the author of “Wen Qi Bao Ban”, italso analyzes the book version of authenticity and spread.The second chapter is style and interpretation, introduce the book’sclassification, style, interpretation, comments etc.The third chapter is the content research, which concludes theword collection situation of "Wen Qi Bao Ban".The fourth chapter is “word study" research, use twelfth volumes of“word" as the research object, mainly through the analysis of the firstpart of the "ancient characters" rhyme choices to infer the author,analyze and arrange "ancient characters" that collected partly.The fifth chapter is values and shortcomings. Analyzes the "Wen QiBao Ban" advantages, such as custom, and disadvantages, it made acareful analysis of "Wen Qi Bao Ban".This article is research of "Wen Qi Bao Ban", clarify the author’ssituation, and comb the versions, through the analysis of its content tosort out the advantages and disadvantages of "Wen Qi Bao Ban".
