Chen Yuan is a famous Chinese philologist and he has a lot of work in the field of literature. He was the first person who contact and study Si Ku Quan Shu comprehensively in China. He has counted Si Ku Quan Shu of Wen Jin Ge and Wen Yuan Ge for one after another time that made important contributions to the development of Chinese literature in the learning of Si Ku. This article aims to starting from the origin of Chen Yuan and imperial study, sums up the imperial study achievement of him and centered on imperial learn to his study achievements were summarized. Forming a microcosm,according to the "Si Ku Quan Shu Chen Yuan treatise",put the correction of mistakes of Siku Quanshu Zongmu Tiyao and Buddhist textual research and writing in literature scientific contribution in the first place.At the same time,arranging Chen Yuan’s philology achievements outside of the results in the field of Si Ku.And using the method of comparison, analysis and induction to summary his philology idea and to find his unique contribution to the imperial learning and the place that filling the blank. This paper consists of four parts, respectively describe Chen Yuan’s achievements of philology and imperial study, for the imperial superorder, right and wrong and the inheritance of abstract writing theory and application, collected materials widely,and makes every effort to arrange the study achievement of a comprehensive summary and objective evaluation.The innovation of this paper lies in is the key of Chen Yuan of “Si Ku Quan Shu” and the catalogue of “Si Ku Quan Shu” synopsis of right and wrong results,the classification of these achievements to make up for the lack of research in this field.
